Some of my friends are coin collectors since high school days. They were influenced by our favorite teacher, Miss Dianne, who has thousands of coins in her room. She has the sought-after coins from Southeast Asia and some morgan silver dollars. Her coin collection hobby started when her first boyfriend gave her several old Malaysian coins as gifts. From then on, she got hooked with gathering bills from different parts of the world. She relayed the hobby to us and my friends we’re hooked too.
Even though I am not an avid coin collector, I am interested in learning the history of money. I wanted to know the way it is created and its value as time goes by. There are hundreds of books that talk about money and coins, but I still prefer doing research in the Internet. To have more information, I chose to read blogs that deal with the topic.
